‘Holistic thinking’ is a significant attribute of a product manager. I’ve wondered what that encompasses. In the context of product management it is safe to define ‘holistic thinking’ as the various dimensions of the problem(product or a feature) a PM has to think about.
Recently I was listening to this podcast where Sachin Rekhi talks about “How to Get Actionable User Feedback for Your Product” , where he mentioned this 8 Product Market Fit Hypotheses.
1. Target user persona
2. The problem you are trying to solve
3. Solution – what’s the value proposition
4. Strategic differentiation
6. Customer acquisition strategy
7. Monetization strategy
8. KPIs to measure
you can read the detailed version of these 8 points with great example in Sachin’s blog.1
